This was a nice surprise we found in our Drummer vault. Robert Payne was at the forefront of the leather world and his stories have kept men satisfied for years. When we read these stories we were brought to a diabolical world - and we loved it. This is a must read (just try to keep the pages from getting stuck together!).
BACK ISSUES of DRUMMER MAGAZINE
Mr. S has been able to acquire the last large collection of The Original back issues of Drummer Magazine. John Embry, the publisher, died this year and his husband and business partner, Jerry Laskey, arranged for Mr. S to purchase the old back issues. This is a Major historical collection that we are now offering in sets of three different issues together. If you are young and have never seen a copy of Drummer, this would be the time to pick yourself up a few sets of these and see how this Leather scene all began. Some of the Hottest fucking leather sex stories ever written graced the pages of Drummer. If you are old enough to remember how eagerly you waited for each new issue to come out, so you could jerk off to the latest stories and pictures of hot guys.... then this would also be the time to pick up some old issues and take a look again at where you probably started. This should stir up some great old memories. All this, long before the Internet came to be the source for leather porn.
Most of us may never have had the introduction to this Leather scene had it not been for John Embry and the Original "DRUMMER" Magazine he started and published. I know it's how I first realized I wasn't alone in all my perverted fantasies. Finding that Drummer magazine on a news stand in New Orleans in 1981 changed my life.....and you can see where it all led for me. Tens of thousands of guys worldwide read Drummer every month and felt a bonding connection to each other because of it.
Each month as we sort through the remaining inventory for more sets of three different issues each. None of the sets will contain any duplicates from any other set. So if you might wind up buying, say, 25 different sets of three... you'll be getting 75 different issues. Since this is really the last large collection that will be made available from a commercial source we have priced these at what we feel is a very reasonable price to the leather community. We have looked up on the Internet and seen other web sites selling back issues from $40 to $160 for a single copy. The early issues are certainly worth a premium price but we felt that was ridiculous.
There will also be offered a number of the Other publication that Drummer published, such as... Manifest Reader... Mach.... Care & Training of the Male Slaves...Special issues of the works of Bill Ward... Matt... and Etienne.
These would make a perfect and very unique Christmas gift for your Sir, Master or Daddy. He'd probably be surprised if his young pup, slave or boy got him something like this from his past. Or for you Masters, Daddy's or Sirs... maybe a set of these Drummers would be good reading for your boy to see how great it was in the good old days. Give you all something to start up a conversation with and begin some 'old stories' on your part. (grin)
