What is the significant difference between between Double Style and Single Style. Does a neophyte need to use a lubricant to use a catheter and is there significant risk of infection?
- - The Double Style has an inflatable balloon at the tip so it can stay inside the bladder. Probably better for more advanced players as it's important to have the balloon part into the bladder before inflating.
- - I'd always recommend sterile lubricant (see item M19) whether you're new to catheters or not. The catheters are in sterile packaging, so with some care the risk of infection is really low. Clean toys and clean hands go a long way toward warding off the risk. -Jonathan
