This thing is so much hotter than the photos show. First off, it isn't as shiny as I expected, second the weight. I didn't even think about the weight of it, but its PERFECT! It weighs enough so you know its on, but not enough so it would bother you. It warms up almost the instant it touches your skin, like it should have been around my neck all along.I can not say enough about it, I love this collar.

My partner and I have been wearing these collars 24/7 since the purchase for our 20th anniversary, 2 and a half years ago. We live on Hawaii Island and swim in the ocean often wearing them and have never experienced any build up of salt or sand. The most wonderful thing in my life is getting to explain them all of the time. We participate in nudist activities, so they are often the only thing that we have on. Our suggestions as to sizing for 24/7 wear: size up, but not so big that it hits your collar bone.

I pickd up one of these as well and I love how it warms up around your neck. It is a bit heavier than I expected, but you get used to it pretty quickly. I've worn it 24/7 for the past month. It is able to hide under my dress shirts and some of my t-shirts. But otherwise people think it is just a necklace and have asked how it opens. It's an interesting look in their faces when I tell them that it doesn't without a key. I'm thinking about filling the hole with epoxy so it is permanent.

I love my collar and the looks I get. Mine was made custom to a larger size and not sure if it is because of that, but without the key to tighten it the thing would loosen and come opened in 3-4 days. Wish it didn't but I'm not willing to send it back for another six weeks. Other than that it's great

Any suggestions on how best to select size? Is sizing similar to shirt sizing, or should extra room given to allow for the rigidity of the collar?

Dear Hot surfer. As much as we would like to see a surfer wearing a stainless steel collar, We all agree the salt water may not be good for it. Comfort wise would be no problem and it will not harm metal however, If the collar comes in contact with salt water, it should be rinsed immediatley as this could block the key hole with build up. Surfs up! Andre Mr. S

I just had this collar put on me and I love how it warms up and how it feels. The key has been thrown away so I guess that I'm going to be in this for a very long time.

There is nothing like wearing this collar, especially when it worn for the right man (but that's another issue). Comfortable, waterproof (I've been surfing whilst wearing one); rustproof; unremovable (unless you have the right key) and the clasp join is nearly undetectable unless you look exceptionally closely.
