I have used this rope and it is strong and holds knots well. It shows well in photos and looks wonderful against the skin, military gear, or jeans and a white t-shirt. I have hand-conditioned it, and it came out just fine. The price is good for rope of this quality. It does have an earthy, nutty scent that dissipates slowly, but I think that's part of the fun of using it.....reminds your boy what an animal he is!
